Chasing Venus

"Chasing Venus" explores the dangerous seduction of perfection, the endless climb towards an ideal that dissolves the moment it's within reach. It imagines a body stretched, sculpted, and adorned until reality blurs, turning beauty into a shimmering mirage that always slips one step ahead. Layered textures, exaggerated silhouettes, and visual excess echo the spiraling momentum of self-reinvention pushed to its limits. It is the portrait of a body and mind that cannot stop, that will sacrifice everything for an unattainable goddess made from silicone and a scalpel. The final illustrations were created with marker and modified/collaged in Photoshop.
